I started my technology learning with The El Paso Independent school district, at Rusk Elementary School. I was a fifth grade teacher in 1993 when the district started their own web site each school received a web site off of this web site, I was given the chance to be web master of the Rusk Web site. At that time I trained the teachers to create their own web site, and how to use the districts e mail. The district started each student in Kinder to 12th grade with their own e mail off of episd and then started each with their own web page each of my fifth grade students used their web site and their e mail on a weekly basis. From there the district started Long distance learning and I was the point person at Rusk (click on Rusk) with over 100 hours preformed my student enjoyed coming to school and learning when it came to long distance none of my students missed a day. Soon the district went to video conferencing and I moved to the computer lab so that all the students in the school received a chance to go to a different city, state, or even nation. The school preformed over 500,000 of hours of video conferencing from 2001 to 2016 when I retired from teaching. From the computer lab I went into the Texas Literacy Initiative position at my school and when it ended I retired.
